Why Tangem Needs your Tax ID for Shipping

What is a Tax ID?

A Tax ID, also known as a Tax Identification Number (TIN), is a unique combination of numbers used to identify individuals or businesses for customs screening purposes. The terminology may vary depending on the destination country. For instance, in some Asian countries, it's referred to as a TIN, while in Brazil, it's called a CPF number.

Providing a Tax ID ensures smooth customs clearance, reducing transit time and the risk of returns due to missing or incorrect information.

In the European Union, businesses must provide an EORI number when moving goods outside the EU. Some EU countries also require an EORI number or personal ID number for individuals importing goods for private use.

Remember to check with your country's customs authorities for specific requirements, which may vary.
